I have A HNAS1 Hawking , so i went ahead and tried to upgrade the firmware to ads v1.04 now I'm new to nas so I'm not to sure what i did wrong but i followed your post... unfortunately its been awhile the firmware you had posted has been deleted so i found the orginal firmware through driver guide downloaded and modified the header like you stated in the post.. But here's what i did different i tried changing the name to hawking in the header like you stated in the post and tried to do the update through the web gui and it told me that it was not a compatible firmware so i decided to download the hawking v1.02 firmware to see what the header looked like. So what i did was i decided to copy and paste the header from the hawking v1.02 to the header of the ads firmware v1.04 and tried to do the update again and this time it work it said update completed but , here's were things go wrong the hnas1 now seems to be frozen it will not do a boot cycle or even reset , so i tried unplugged and plugged it back in and still the same response , know let me tell you whats it is doing , the link act light is still seems to be active when i connect it to the computer straight to see if i can connect to it , changing the lan ip assigning the tcp/ip to 192.162 it will not connect I even tried the old IP still nothing..... so i tried even auto ip configuration just to see if the hnas1 would assign a ip to my PC and it did but i cant get to it even connected to it with the auto ip it assigned , know i did noticed that when i check my lan connection it only has sent bytes not received bytes so i think there's no communication , just to let you know the power light does not even blink when i unplug the unit on and off wont even do a boot cycle even the reset bottom does not work no response the power bottom pushed in for power off cycle has no response either . now my question is do you think it could have Bricked on me or is there a way i can flash a firmware again to bring it back to life. it seems has soon has i turn the unit on it powers up with the power light on and the link act light flash likes its trying to communicate. is there another way to flash this unit..
sorry for the bad typing
THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE!! I'M REALLY GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE OPTIONS HELP YOU CAN GIVE!!! |
