I am looking to buy a NAS device - primarily because my music / video collection is too big for the home computer and I want to sync my ipod etc through the PC while housing my library on the NAS - anyone got any experience of that? any recommendations or products to avoid?

I particularly like Netgear ReadyNAS, and personally have a ReadyNAS NVX for my house. It's a bit more on the pricey side, but we watch downloaded movies through our PS3, etc.
