Thecus Technology has introduced its latest Network-Attached Storage (NAS) option the N5200PRO designed for hardware enthusiasts and SMBs (small and medium businesses), says the company.
The N5200PRO is driven by a low-voltage Intel Celeron M Processor and 512MB of DDR memory, making it the fastest 5-bay NAS on the market, claims Thecus. With five 3.5-inches SATA drive bays, the N5200PRO features up to 5TB (terabytes) of storage capacity. It also comes with support for multiple RAID levels, allowing multiple RAID volumes on a single system for optimal flexibility.
Additionally, N5200PRO supports iSCSI initiators, enabling users to access it as an iSCSI target device over the Internet or LAN. The device also offers power management features like scheduled power on/off and Wake-on-LAN. Users will be able to have the system turn on and off to conserve energy, and lower overall cost of ownership.
To back up data, the N5200PRO comes with Thecus' suite of backup utilities, including the Thecus Backup Utility and Nsync, Thecus' remote backup solution.
The network has to be reliable, therefore Thecus offers two options to users; with the built-in LCD screen, the N5200PRO is easy to setup and administer, and an eSATA port allows for easy storage expansion, says the company. Users who need load balancing and failover can choose the N5200BPRO, while users who prefer a built-in 4-port Gigabit switch can opt for the N5200BRPRO.
The Thecus N5200PRO is now available with authorized distributors. |
